Ordering Information For
The most desirable position for hanging full-length ruffled style is from the ceiling to the floor. Using a measuring tape or yard stick, measure from the ceiling or at the base of the ceiling’s molding to the floor. This is your curtain’s overall length and includes the height of the header. Another option for hanging our full length curtain is from the top of the window to the floor. Using a measuring tape or yard stick, measure from the top of the window casing or frame to the floor. For the overall length, add the height of your curtain’s header to this measurement. Other lengths shown throughout the catalog are: top of window to apron and top of window to sill. To measure, refer to the appropriate areas in the diagram. We will be happy to accommodate any area you may wish. Simply specify your measurements when placing you order. Measure either from outside corner to outside corner of the window/frame, or measure along the length of the curtain rod to be used. The exclusive dorothy’s ruffled originals look can only be achieved by adhering to our recommended width charts. Ruffled Valances Inserted Between Ruffled Curtains When inserting a ruffled valance between a pair of ruffled curtains on a sliding glass door, oversized window, or a triple window follow these steps: (1) determine the curtain width you wish to use based on the window width to be covered,(2) mesure the remaining window area and convert this distance into the width of your valance. Rod pockets are custom made to accommodate your chosen rod. The standard rod pocket for our ruffled curtains is 2 1/2" which accommodates a wooden dowel or a decorator rod 11/4" in diameter. We can accommodate any size rod you choose. Please specify when placing your order. Headers are the part of the curtain that stands up above the rod pocket. The standard header for our ruffled curtains is 4". We can accommodate any size header you choose. Please specify when placing your order.
